Privacy Policy
Effective 20 July 2026
Who is responsible for your information
Solvero Tech (Pty) Ltd operates Dasha and is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
Information you provide
We may collect your name and email address through Sign in with Apple; birth date, birth time, birth location, coordinates, and timezone; names and relationship labels for chart profiles; reading questions, follow-up questions, desired outcomes, context, and feedback; and communications you send to support.
Information created through the service
We create and store information needed to provide Dasha, including astrological chart data, readings, reading status, conversation history, account identifiers, purchase and delivery status, notification preferences, and links between these records and your account.
Technical and transaction information
We may process device and app information, push-notification tokens, request and error diagnostics, security records, and limited performance measurements. Apple processes App Store payments and provides us with transaction and entitlement information; we do not receive your full payment-card details.
How we use information
We use personal information to authenticate accounts; create charts and personalised readings; answer questions and support follow-up conversations; verify purchases and recover purchased reading delivery; send requested service notifications; provide support; prevent abuse; protect accounts and systems; diagnose failures; comply with law; and improve the reliability and usefulness of Dasha.
Why we may process information
Depending on the context, we process information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as securing, supporting, and improving the service where those interests do not override your rights. You may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Service providers and sharing
We share information only as reasonably needed with providers that support cloud hosting, authentication, location and timezone lookup, artificial-intelligence processing, customer support, notifications, diagnostics, and payment or entitlement handling. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell your personal information.
International processing
Some providers may process information outside South Africa or the country where you live. Where personal information crosses borders, we use contractual, organisational, and legal safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection in accordance with POPIA and other applicable law.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably needed to provide your account and readings, complete transactions, meet legal and accounting duties, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, de-identify it, or securely isolate it until deletion from backups.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, and disclosure. No internet or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. Contact us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you; request access, correction, deletion, or restriction; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or ask for information about recipients. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires it. Send requests to [email protected].
Complaints
Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You may also complain to South Africa's Information Regulator or another privacy authority with jurisdiction where you live. Information about the South African Information Regulator is available at inforegulator.org.za.
Children's privacy
Dasha is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. Users aged 13 to the age of legal majority should use Dasha with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. We will show the revised effective date and provide reasonable notice of material changes.
